Leisure Target Tourism Services Case Study
Background
Leisure Target Tourism Services (LTTS) is dedicated to providing a high-quality accountable, pro-active and cost-effective visitor information distribution service across the East of England and beyond.
Their key USP is accountability – this means being able to tell their clients exactly how many of which publication they’ve delivered - where and when. Their clients need to know which of their marketing publications really work because they appeal to the visitor who picks them and hopefully, visits their attraction or attends their event.
LTTS’ former system was cobbled together from a standard distribution management system. It was slow – taking up to 20 minutes to produce a simple report – and could not offer the transparency LTTS wanted to give clients.
Perceptis worked with LTTS to develop TIMS, a custom software system which helps them control every aspect of the distribution business. In addition, we were asked to develop a new website for LTTS with customer report access and online publication ordering.
Our Solutions
- Custom Software Development – See the dedicated TIMS case study.
- Web Design & Development – We designed a new website for LTTS that was structured to make it easier for visitors to navigate the website and find information. The new structure also broke their services down so they each had individually search optimised pages.
- Online Distribution Cost Calculator – The website was programmed to allow potential new customers to be able to get distribution costs online. These costs depend on which geographical areas need to be covered and the website allows them to try different combinations, resulting in LTTS gaining some significant new customers.
- Client User Area – A key feature of customer satisfaction, is the ability of attraction owners to be able to login to the LTTS website and get access to a suite of live reports, with the data coming from the TIMS system. This has significantly reduced cost and improved efficiency for LTTS.
- Online Publication Ordering – Smaller outlets and TIC/TIPs can order tourist information publication online via LTTS' website, for postal delivery. The website picks up the list of available publications from the TIMS system and places the orders for delivery back into it automatically.
- Marketing – We have further helped LTTS to identify a range of prospective new customers and to successfully target those customers by conducting eMail marketing and telemarketing campaigns on their behalf.
