Web Application Development

Required to work on the development of web application projects for a diverse range of customers.

  • Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, XHTML & CSS - ideally with some commercial experience or able to demonstrate proven success on a project of some significant complexity.
  • Good degree in an IT related subject.
  • Good understanding of design and testing methodologies.
  • Good understanding of fundamental database design principles.
  • Self-starting with a determination to constantly improve through self-learning - strong desire to be one of the best.
  • Structured and methodical - able to write and follow strict procedures to ensure every project is turned out to a consistently high level of quality.
  • Honest, reliable, flexible and adaptable - Happy to apply technical skill to a wide range of tasks as required outside of development work.
  • Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines when required.
  • Team player with the ability to work closely with other team members on projects requiring multiple skills.

Digital Marketing Executive

We are looking for an intelligent, technically minded, analytical individual who can write English to a very good standard, to work on online marketing and SEO campaigns.

The work will involve constantly improving the success of our own range of online shops that sell products for walking, cycling and the great outdoors, as we all as working on campaigns for customers for whom we do web and marketing work.

We are looking for someone who loves writing detailed, factual information about products, and can disseminate this information across the web using Twitter, Facebook, internet forums etc. Someone who loves detail and doesn't mind spending hours performing keyword research, analysing Google rankings, and poring over Google AdWords and Analytics stats.

Full training will be given in the specific SEO and online marketing techniques for someone who can demonstrate they have the right aptitude.

Candidates must be able do demonstrate most of the following skills:

  • Analytically minded and able to manage, measure and incrementally improve performance across a range of online marketing campaigns.
  • Ultra diligent, loves detail and can make sure every aspect of work is accurate and correct. Must be capable of precisely following the company's procedures.
  • Passion about technology and the great outdoors.
  • Able to grasp the features of highly complex technical products and distil them into bite sized chunks the general public can understand.
  • Able to write product descriptions and product reviews with very good English language skills.
  • Must be an ardent internet user who does/understands most of the following:
    • Buys most their own stuff online
    • Uses Google and can execute advanced Google searches
    • Uses Facebook and Twitter
    • User of internet discussion forums
    • Understands what Google AdWords are
    • Has at least a basic understanding of search engine optimisation
 

Before appointment candidates will be tested against the skills outlined in the relevant job role.
